Every evening I pray
Every evening I pray,
To once again in a dream
You at least for a minute
Appeared to me.
I fall asleep with hope,
That in earthly slumber
You will quietly fly in
And lie down with me.
We will not speak -
Why do we need words?
To feel how your head
Will touch my chest,
How your curl like a fluff
Will fall on my lips
And your hand gently
Will lie on my forehead.
You will smile sadly,
Quietly sigh
And by the ray of light
You will go back.
I will rush after you,
Stifling a bitter moan,
And I will wake up and understand,
That it is again a dream.
