Titans and us

Long forgotten
We are about the Titans,
Though the Titans
Saved our world.
The Titans hold
The sky with their hands,
Saving people
From the darkness of night.

The Titans stand
And hold the sky,
Time gnaws at them,
Space crushes them.
The Titans silently
Fade into eternity,
Soon the last
Titan will depart.

And the sky will collapse
Upon our shoulders.
We are not ready
To hold it.
Wake up, people,
It would be easier for us
To help the Titans
Save our world.

We live dimly
In the nets of deception.
People are mired
In the embrace of lies,
And sadly the Titans
Look upon us,
As the world trembles
With fear like a leaf.

And the stars send us
Their signs,
That we must save
The world ourselves.
Wake up, people,
For just a moment—
The Titans cannot
Hold up the sky.

It's time to lift
This burden from the Titans,
For us, the careless,
Standing for centuries.
