My love, I'm standing high above the world,
Or rather, like a bird, I'm bound to fly.
The fire and the smoke have just unfurled,
It feels as though I face a dark abyss and sky.
The terrifying moment must be near,
Although I pray to God for saving grace.
But you remain my vision, bright and clear,
I want you to remember your embrace.
I feel so scared, and you are not around,
I cannot hold the edge for very long.
I wish your eyes could meet me on this ground,

The years will pass, and all the wounds will mend,
Though in your dreams you’ll call me through the night.
Our mothers' bitter tears will reach their end,
With only tiny wrinkles left in sight.
The clock is striking out a funeral toll,
Upon the hundred-first high floor I stand.
